Ana Masry Activities
Activity 1: A national arts competition
This competition will be launched to solicit creative ideas in different artistic realms promoting tolerance and diversity with the goal of sustaining the project. Some productions will be selected to be a part of the project’s second activity, described below.
Activity 2: Youmak ya Masry (your day, Egyptian)
These will be one-day interactive workshops that will include many activates such as:
- Singing
- Art workshops
- Games
- Competitions
- Light lectures
- Training workshops on ethics of interfaith dialogue
- 'Tell us your idea about tolerance' workshop
- 'Create your own group of Muslim and Christian friends to develop the country,' workshop
Activity 3: Work Groups
The Youmak ya Masry workshop participants will be encouraged to form diversified work groups that use the knowledge and skills they acquired at the workshops and apply them in their own communities to promote social responsibility and tolerance at home.
Activity 4: Egypt the Big Picture Presentations
Bi-monthly public presentations are planned to be launched called, “Egypt the Big picture”, that tackle the social structure of the Egyptian society and is intend to raise public awareness on tolerance and cohesion concepts. They will take place in public locations such as Sawi Cultural Wheel in Cairo, social clubs…etc.
Activity 5: Website
Promoting the project and its activities, achievements and challenges as well as engaging a wider audience will be facilitated through a website.
