Namaa Summer School for Sustainable Development is a one month (including weekends) scholarship offered by Namaa Initiative, Konrad Adenaur Foundation and the program of Civilization Studies and Cultural Dialogue.
During the summer school you will go through though different developmental schools of thoughts followed by field visits to reflect the intact work in real life situations. The participants acquire knowledge about different sectors in Egypt: Economics Sector, Education, Political, Environment and Media. Thus, they get more acquainted with their society. Different approaches to community development are then presented, theories of reform, values of renaissance and different skills required to develop social entrepreneur. The learning process in Namaa summer school is an interactive one; depends on interactive lectures, workshops, case studies and field visits.
Lecturers (www.nahdetmasr.org/namaa/speakers) are both academicians and practitioners. Workshops are held by experienced trainers. Field visits (www.nahdetmasr.org/namaa/field-visits) target beneficial projects working allover Egypt. By the end of Namaa School, participants are asked either to develop initiatives or participate in internships in different initiatives and projects to practice what they have learned.
