" Namaa... Creating and Guiding Leaders"

"For me the summer school was a very good experience. On a personal level, I gained some skills to which I have not been subjected before. Mainly, the benefits of teamwork. The workshops were especially useful but more importantly they gave me time for a lot of self-reflection and self-analysis.
They drove across ideas that I have been echoing for many years, but never fully understood and grasped till I attended this summer school. The field trips were effecective in driving across the reality of our situation. Even, if they acted as a rude awaekening to my rosy perception of our economic and social situationin, hopefully, the right perspective."

"Even though my 2006 Namaa lecture was late in the day, participants engaged me in a lively and critical debate about how youth can be taken more seriously in their communities and their nation. I was struck by the high quality of every aspect of the Namaa program. The organizers have succeeded in combining the latest in international development debates with a sensitive overview of Egypt's problems and needs. This is one of the most exciting new training opportunities I have seen in recent years."
