Career Development Centres

EEEA’s Career Development Centres at the Faculty of Engineering at Cairo University and Ain Shams University will meet the needs of fresh graduates and the growing private sector. They build bridges between universities and employers, giving youth the skills employers demand and also direct access to jobs.

To supplement students’ academic work with practical and more in-depth experience, the Centres link students to training courses, mentorship opportunities, workshops, conferences, student activities, internships and business competitions. In addition, the Centres also provide practical business skills training to encourage entrepreneurship among forth year students. Over 2000 students will benefit from the programs.

Such programs build on strong partnerships with each university, which have both donated the campus premises needed to house these Centres. The project also draws on substantial financial, technical and in-kind support from a number of implementing partners and sponsors, representing Egypt’s NGO and corporate sectors. It is the intention of the program and its partners that similar models will be created and replicated in all public universities through similar collaborations among the private, public and civil sectors.

EEEA’s Career Development Centre programs are implemented by:

  • Egyptian Junior Business Association (EJB) – Ain Shams University Key Career Development Centre
  •  Nahdet El Mahrousa (NM)  - Cairo University Career Development Office
