Inspiration
It is a result of field research done by youth who realized specially after attending the GTZ Cairo summer School 2005 the existence of a gap between the needs of organizations/institutions and NGOs working in development and the capabilities of young people interested in contributing to/ working in development, especially since the youth is interested but often not qualified enough to contribute to change in the community development and work in this field.

Namaa is grateful to The GTZ Egypt ,who Helped us launch the Namaa Summer School and were our 2006 Partners.

Impact as of February 2007
- Around 65 young Egyptians became socially engaged and applied their acquired knowledge through innovative projects.

- Graduates made work experience development organizations of any kind and have established networks in the same field.

- A virtual development library that includes full documentation of the project (video and audio recordings, manuals for each course and Academic curriculum on CDs) was established.
