About Dr.Fateh Azzam :

Dr. Fateh Azzam, Director of Forced Migration and Refugee Studies (FMRS) at AUC. He teaches Palestinian Refugee Issues and International Refugee Law graduate courses. Prof. Azzam holds an LLM in International Human Rights Law from Essex University. He previously worked for the Ford Foundation where he was in charge of grant-making in human rights advocacy, training and education, law, and related fields in this region. He grew up as a Palestinian refugee in Syria and Lebanon, and had lived and worked in the US, Nigeria and the Palestinian Territories where he directed Al-Haq, the first Palestinian human rights organization. Azzam has published widely in Arabic and English in the fields of human rights and theater.
