Nahdet El-Mahrousa (NM) seeks to make a positive impact on Egypt’s cultural, economic and social development through activating and engaging youth and particularly young Egyptian professionals in the country’s development and public arenas. NM achieves this through the cultivation and incubation of innovative development project ideas until they are independent and successful national models.
Since 2002, NM has been operating as such has accumulated a long experience and lessons. Several projects have become successful full-fledged national programs serving and inspiring hundreds. Among many partners, the success of the incubator model has attracted prominent partners such as UNICEF to seek partnership with NM to adapt the model and create a “Junior Incubator” for younger adolescents. It has also motivated the Ford Foundation and AMIDEAST to seek the incubator’s support in incubating innovative social enterprises of the graduates of their International Fellows’ Program.
