IMC was established by a presidential decree number 477/2000 as an independent body to implement and coordinate the modernization of the Egyptian Industry. The Industrial Modernization Centre (IMC) is intended to perform as the prime agent for substantiating the government’s vision of a vibrant and globally competitive industrial sector. It was jointly funded by the European Union (250 million), the Government of Egypt (103 million) and the Egyptian Private Sector (73 million) with a total budget of EGP 426 million. Today IMC is part of the process of continuously bringing the Egyptian industry to international competitiveness. 

Challenger Limited is a provider of contract oil and gas land well drilling and work-over services, with over 15 years experience servicing major and independent petroleum companies, first in Africa, followed by an expansion into the Middle East. The company owns and operates 25 drilling rigs in Libya providing drilling and work-over services for oil, gas, and water wells, with offices in Egypt, Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates.
