Get Involved With the YIA

Are you interested in getting involved in the YIA program?  Here are ways you can help the movement to encourage research and development…

1. Become an Evaluator:

Evaluators are an integral part of the YIA program. We hire the most experienced individuals in the academic, scientific and research fields to review student projects and research proposals.  Without them the programs would not be possible; which is why evaluators receive an honorarium for their work.  If interested in joining our esteemed evaluation committee please send a letter of intent to: YIA Program Director, Mohamed Zarkani at mohamed.zarkani@nahdetmasr.org.

2. Become a Speaker

a. The YIA staff travels around the country visiting all 18 national universities with the help of experienced and professional speakers.  These individuals lecture about: the importance of Research and Development; the skills necessary to write project proposals; the Role of Intellectual Property Rights and Research Writing Tools; Venture Capital and Innovation and Post Graduation Opportunities in the area of innovation.

3. Become a Student Intern

The YIA is always looking for dedicated and focused interns to join the YIA team.  We are able to offer course credit for internships, and students typically intern 8-10 hours per week.  If interested, please contact YIA Program Officer Nadine Habeel at nadine.habeel@nahdetmasr.org.

4. Become a YIA Student Ambassador 

a. The YIA program is seeking students in each of the 58 faculties of engineering/agriculture/science nationwide to act as the main communication tool between the YIA and students on his/her campus.  The YIA Ambassador is responsible for: delivering and communicating messages for the YIA program on campus, providing the YIA team members with logistical support on campus when needed, reporting required information about his/her campus and conducting surveys for the YIA program amongst his/her university colleagues when needed.

b. In recognition of their work, YIA student ambassadors will receive a certificate of recognition signed by the YIA Director and a letter of recommendation signed by the Managing Director of Nahdet El Mahrousa and the YIA Director that could be used by the YIA Ambassador when seeking career opportunities.
